  1. Is a human being a general purpose device, or a dedicated one ?

I suspect the theory of evolution affords only one answer to this question. And it happens to reside, I am but certain you will concur, outside the perimeter of the interrogation’s parameters.

Suffices, then, to apply a likewise template to a human being microcosm…the evolutionary, smartly leapfrogging iPhone.

  2. I think the video game console business will change in nature in 10 years. The advent of PlayStation Now (i.e. cloud gaming) will result in a market where console boxes may not be as powerful or expensive as they are today. The key challenge will be latency and bandwidth availability in key markets, I’d imagine both would improve dramatically in 10 years, no?

  3. Enjoyed the discussion. Although I am surprised that you guys didn’t really discuss how the console could evolve and maybe survive – Occulus Rift anyone? VR that actually works is very compelling.

  4. Ben, tour argument seems to be that user experience trumps disruption. Both in this episode and the Android Vs iOS debate.

What difference do you see between your argument and the argument made by Vacuum tube radio manufacturers that saw a poor user experience from transistor radios as not being a threat? Isn’t the whole point of disruption yo start with something that seems inferior but has some other advantage?
